Dining Out

Shortly after the whole battalion was back together in Germany and back from Kosovo, the folks in charge decided to have a Dining Out. It was my first such thing while on active duty and I rather enjoyed getting dressed up and eating dinner with most everyone.

This is where we had the event. It's the castle in downtown
Wuerzburg, but I can't seem to remember the name right now.

This is the room we had the Dining Out in.

On the left is SGT Riggle a fellow 31R who worked on a SEN team
and on the right is SGT Rainey my former team member. :-)

The color guard outside getting ready.

Here is me all dressed up. I still have that uniform but
have long since stopped being able to fit into it. :-(

Yep, it's the Army and that means? You have to have *some* waiting around.

When a camera comes out, the folks start posing. This is
most of my platoon and a few others getting ready for a picture.

Finally, the receiving line and it was time to eat!

After dinner, it was time to make fun of the battalion staff. :-)

Hoola-hoops were involved. This is the battalion commander on
the left and the battalion Command Sergeant Major on the right.

The troops were happy but mostly because we were back from Kosovo.
